What a busy month, theres been so much going on with school starting, my photography business kicking off and just things happening in general. This weeks months rant is about a group I saw on Facebook..."Lower the Drinking age to 18!" and it had 50,000+ members. Now lets think about wether this rationally...We have enough underage drinking AS IT IS, lower the drinking age and 14 and 16 year olds will start drinking and we will have them getting fake ID's next... Most of the youth dont even drink, and there is no drinking age, its a responsibility issue. In europe they drink to enjoy it, in america, people drink to get drunk. Lowering the drinking age is something that will never happen. They raised it (drinking age to 21) 20 years ago, they wont lower it again. They need to raise the driving age, as kids get more and more rebelious and maturing later in life than our predecessors, we need to take that into account and comphensate for this change....do you honestly think LOWERING the drinking age will do any good? We'll have hundreds of thousands of drunk driving incidents a year, mainly because the majority of >21 are irresponsible, I'm not saying there everyone over 21 is responsible, I'm saying that 21 is a solid age of maturity. Someone told me I had no life today and then told me he got drunk the night before and made out with a girl...is that what "life" is? Do I have to drink and subject myself to women in order to have a good life? I didn't think so. This world is so full of superficialities, you always have to look your best and act the part to get anywhere, you cant get anywhere by being yourself anymore, you need to learn to manipulate and be shrewd to be successful these days.
I feel like I need to write more, I feel inadequate, maybe its being off the anti-depressants. Regardless...pictures will cure me.
First and foremost, I FINALLY got my new camera, its pretty much amazing, and I've taken over 1,000 pictures so far. I'm trying to get my Spotty Photography (temporary name) business off the ground, so if anyone needs any photography, and doesnt want to pay a pro, let me know!

As I sit here writing this update from Blakes Turkey downtown GR, I can't help but wonder how much we've all grown up. Recent events have made me look back on my life and it makes me sad to see all the people that try to rush the due process of life and end up making fools out of themselves/ruining their lives. After talking to a friend quite in depth about life I realized, LAWS ARE MADE FOR A REASON, everyone tries to challange them, but at one time, there were no laws, and people did stupid things, and to try to stop these things from happening in the future...a law was passed, now as our government grows and takes more control over the world by-laws and sub-laws are made and makes the whole legal process very confusing, but the point still stands, a lot of people devoted a lot of time to refining things we call LAWS to to and make this great country a better place, and people INTENTIONALLY break these laws and make the system look like a mess. They think that hundreds of people getting paid to think and refine laws are wrong, they single handedly break what people worked so hard to create! IMO, the driving age should be raised to 18. Now most 16-17 year olds are going to be mad at this, if your 18+...think about it, remember what you were like at 16? Insurance rates would go down across the board...some people may argue that experience is key and 18 year old drivers would be just as bad, but I beg to differ I think that after maturing, people will get out of that "high-school" attitude where they feel they need to drive fast and show off to all their peers, which usually gets someone killed also, that age bracket is more prone to drink and drive, due to their immautrity/irresponsibility.
I'm also almost fully moved into our new apt. in byron center! We dont have internet yet but occasionally I leech off my neighbors wireless and am able to get onto aim/internets.

I'm at a high point right now in my life, it's one of those times that everything feels....right....every decision you make increases your happiness...everything seems to click. Things just keep getting better and better, I'm getting a lot of offers and experience for my photography, and I'm starting to consult people with their PC troubles now, everything seems to be working, I have more than enough money...I moved out of 104 Auburn, moving into a 2 bedroom apt in Byron Center with a friend from Lowell. My parents just got back from a great trip in Alaska, I've hardly been home, I've been out hanging out with people or doing business...work is amazing, I've been coming through for a lot of people, I got a new laptop from my boss as well!
I'm sorry I couldn't come up with a deeper rant, but I'm not angry at anything right now....everything is great!
UPDATE: Strike that.....I'm mad now...
Why do people have to drive soooo slow?!?!? I've been feeling that lately....I want to get somewhere, I don't want to take my time, I'd rather be chilling with leigh than driving behind some superSUV on the road going 20 miles an hour....I like to get places fast. On 3 seperate occasions this week I've been mad at people driving, the first was a blue avalanche driven by a woman on her cell phone from downtown cascade all the way to 66th and whittneyville, where she pulled over and flipped me off...She was doing 35 in a 55...and has the nerve to flip me off...people are just STUPID, the left lane is reserved for people that enjoy living life in the fast lane, in the left lane, the speed limit generally doesnt apply, because no one IN the left lane follows it...its the stupid people that drive slow in the left lane that piss me off....10 cars pass them on the right side....but they're so oblivious to what else is going on that they continue to putter...What is the minimum speed limit on roads? jeeez, if your going to take your sweet time and drive slow because you enjoy pavement, pull over occasionally and let the TRAIL OF 10 CARS PASS YOU! Yeesh...oh and try not to drive with your cell phone, I saw 2 people almost get hit this morning because they turned without thinking while they were on their phone....both in forest hills...
Thanks guys, I feel better now...

Everyone has them, they help us get through the thing we call life. Life...its such a bitch sometimes isn't it though? Sometimes you REALLY need a friend there for you, and they aren't. Everyone thinks just because they are out of high school now they are so much more MATURE....maturity....thats another word like "LOVE" no one really knows what it means....or when they've found it, some think they know. All I know is its really easy to call someone else immature based on a single event...or to say to someone "I love you"....(I haven't) I'm talking about the 13-16 year olds that "LOVE" a different person every week....it really grinds on me, they have no IDEA what love is, yet they throw it around like some chew toy and degrade the meaning of it slowly over time. Everyone has their opinion on when they are in love, from my angle...I haven't found it yet, so I can't vouch for any feelings in that dept. I recently had a occurance where a "friend" said that he and another "friend" we're going to the beach...neither of them had a cell phone, and I talked to "friend A" at his house a hour before we were going to the beach..."Friend A" said that when he got to "Friend B's" house they would call me and I'd meet up with them somewhere...I never got the call....1 PM rolls around, I call both their houses...no answer, Friend A had asked me to get work off so we could go to the beach, I'm glad I didnt do that. Why do some people find it easier to IGNORE their problems? Thats a great sign of IMMATURITY in my opinion. I know of people who have gotten tickets or notices in the mail.....and chose to ignore them, great idea! I don't know if I touched on this last update but another "type" of person that REALLY bugs me, is the person that calls you every thurs, fri, and sat. yelling "WHERE DA PARTY AT?!" Funny how this person never invites you to anything...suddenly you've become the news source for parties...
Enough rant...time for the pictures...

Goodbye 104 Auburn! (we all move out August 1st.)
Now for a recent photoshoot I did of a friend of mine (ex-gf)
A few of my faves....I'm looking for more people to shoot....let me know!
This has been a OK month, right now I am overwhelmed with the web of lies that is strewn throughout my social web...I can't understand people right now, I feel sometimes like peoples entire lives revolve around their lives! I mean we've all lied before, school, homework, class...parents.....but I'm talking about the people that lie just to make it to their next lie, they have gotten SOOOO good at lying that they are profecient at telling entire stories and have the ability to answer questions based on this lie they have just told, mildy easily.
It's not just the liars either, its the childish, the hyppocritical, the sketchy, and the people that never answer their GD phones, I mean...the point of a phone is to use it, we didnt used to have caller ID, if you dont want to talk to the person, pick up your damn phone and tell them you dont want to fucking talk to them! If not, they will keep calling!
Then we come to the "grudge guy" you may have done something in the past to this person but they STILL cant get over it, the go out of their way to show their lack of friendship towards you,
then theres the immature, the afformentioned hyppocritical, and the guy that thinks hes "#1"
This guy walks into someone elses party and yells "IM HERE BITCHES!" or the guy that is so obsessed with his body that every picture he ever takes he must have his shirt off...
Does anyone ever feel "normal"? Why is it that when you feel normal these days you feel out of place?
It seems the world, mainly america, has come up with a social class for EVERYONE, hicks, jocks, preps, emo, eleckric, hipster, and there are levels too, based on the top level of social class you are you can be many things INSIDE that class...
Then it seems around the age of 25, people grow up...(most of us) and fall into 2 categories....winners, and losers....Winners.....the people that made it in life, got a job, went to school....made some money.
and the losers, the people that sit around making fun of the "winners" and talk about the "old times" and how "cool" it USED to be...
What are you?
This all from MY point of view of course, and depending on "who you are" you could take it many ways.....sit back, look at your life, imagine yourself doing what your doing now in 5...10 years. Where are you? Honestly, tell me.

I fixed my bike shortly later, but my bell broke :(
